Bonus Pay
MediaPiston pays based on the individual article length, the quality rating the client assigns to the article, and the author's average Quality Score. Each job is posted with a base pay rate based on the article's length and a variable quality bonus amount which is determined by a combination of the two quality factors. This way, workers know what their potential payout is before they choose to take on a job.
Pay for Grading and Editing Tasks
There are other ways to earn money as well. For example, each worker can participate in the quality control process by proofreading pieces written by their colleagues. This typically benefits both parties, as it gives authors a chance to improve their piece and earn a better Quality Score, and it gives the proofreader a glance at another author's style and tone. While proofreading jobs don't typically pay as much as the writing jobs do, they are very quick and easy to complete. The payout amount is based on the same three criteria as the authoring tasks.
Revision Process
After an author revises an article based on feedback from the proofreading process, the client will review and rate the article for quality and how closely it matched their criteria. This usually happens within a day or so, but if a client doesn't rate an article within three business days of the final revision, authors are paid automatically and given a bonus based on their Quality Score. That way, authors are assured a fair payment in a quick and timely manner. Even if the client doesn't get to an article within the appropriate timeframe, they are still able to rate it and give "favorite" status to the author if they are particularly pleased with the work.
Quick and Timely Payouts
It is this combination of higher pay for higher quality, coupled with quick and timely payouts, that sets MediaPiston apart from many others in the content creation market.
